The mine can only be visited with a guide, at set start times, and tours in English run throughout the day. The Tourist Route takes about 3 hours.
Practical tips
- Expect around 800 steps on the route, including about 380 going down at the start; you return to the surface by lift.
- It's about 17–18°C underground all year — bring a light jacket, even in summer.
- Wear comfortable shoes.
